A brief history
Mity Digital was founded in 2015 when Michael Scruse and I joined forces, bringing together our experience in design and development.
We'd both been running our own businesses for years, and combining our skills meant we could offer clients the best of both worlds.
Today, we're a small team based in Adelaide and Melbourne, working with clients across Australia on everything from websites to complex web applications.
What I do
I'm Mity Digital's Head Code Monkey and looking after the development side of things. OK, "Development Director" if I have to be formal.
Laravel, Livewire and Statamic are my happy place. I love getting stuck into the code, but what I really enjoy is understanding how a client's business works, what challenges they're facing, and how we can make things better.
Sometimes that's a new website, sometimes it's a custom application, and sometimes it's finding a simpler way to do something that's become unnecessarily complicated.
And with our design and development skills working together, we can make sure everything looks great and works just as well.
Why I love it
I've been writing code professionally for over two decades, and I'm still learning new things every day.
I love the challenge of solving problems, finding better ways to build things, and making life easier for the people using what we create.
One of the things I love most about Mity Digital is our small team. We all bring different skills to the table, we care about the quality of our work, and we have a bit of fun along the way.
And getting to do something I love, with people I enjoy working with? That's pretty special.
